A-OK Pet Training is owned and operated by Amy Oliver. Amy is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner and a Certified Level 1 TAGteacher.
Amy has been training animals since 2010. Beginning with self-taught positive reinforcement methods, Amy trained her own dog basic obedience behaviors, such as ringing a bell to be let outside, to more advanced behaviors, such as a moving hand target.
In 2012, she began volunteering at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Working in their Training and Behavior Department, Amy learned how to modify behavior in dogs and cats in order to help them become more adoptable. Over the next four years she became one of the most relied upon behavior modification volunteers in the department.
Then in 2015, Amy entered the Karen Pryor Academy’s Professional Dog Trainer program and graduated with flying colors.
Amy is a big proponent of continuing education, and as such, regularly attends workshops and seminars to stay up to date on the latest advances in animal behavior.
